Maitland

Maitland is a suburban city that is part of the Greater Metro Orlando area and one of the oldest incorporated suburban municipalities in central Florida and only 15 minutes from Downtown Orlando. It is home to 15,751 residents according to the 2010 Census. It has 4 district “A” rated public schools, and 4 private.

Maitland has many scenic parks along lakes, attracting boaters. The most well known is Lake Lily, located off Hwy 17-92, and host to Maitland’s Farmers Market, open every Sunday from 9-2pm. It is also the home of the nationally recognized Enzian Theatre, Central Florida’s only full-time independent movie theater. Many homes in the historical corridor are still standing and occupied.
